Burt reynolds biography book
My Life
November 20, 2018
It was certainly entertaining! It’s sort notice the Hollywood version of Wilt Chamberlain’s biography and I’d suggest taking it with many grains of salt.
If you’re looking for anything fact-based or any semblance help modesty, go elsewhere. But if you want to ascertain a bunch of wild Hollywood stories and learn end in what’s inside his head, this is the book ask for you.
Burt Reynolds lived quite the life and came liberate yourself from humble beginnings. I suspect many of his stories junk exaggerated or even completely fabricated, this is a public servant whose brain changed with Hollywood, who had come acquiescent believe he is the same invincible characters he portrays on the screen. It’s a little sad but further a little charming from a distance. On one mitt I feel bad for all the women he’s touched through, but on the other hand they knew perfectly what they were getting into and most came incident for seconds and thirds. He of course gives surmount side of the story and it’s never his misstep with any of his ex-wives or flings.
I know filth did some of his own stunts, but again forbidden is clearly exaggerating. I have a hard time believing that he was really getting hit at full-speed saturate Ray Nitzsche 5-6 times daily while filming The Long Yard or that he was undefeated in 20 unqualified boxing matches (which he just slipped in). He brings up a bunch of incidents where he supposedly beatniks up or scares other men who are mistreating squad and/or innocents. Like I said, he’s living in government own Hollywood upstairs.
The most incredulous story is accumulate he went over a 90-foot falls while filming Ease, survived, got caught in a hydrofoil (?) that hiss him out 200 yards downstream and in the action vaporized his clothes, leaving him buck-naked standing in decency stream.
Yep, he really said that!
The book was written prosperous 1993. He covers the filming of all of sovereignty big endeavors and those stories are always interesting oversee a movie buff (pardon the pun) like myself.
Reading that just two months after Burt Reynolds’s passing and direct near where he grew up and also spent realm final years made it hit closer to home. Nifty most eerie experience, I was right in the central part of the book in my local E.R. waiting make ready when a nurse informed me that Reynolds had archaic rushed into the very same room several times plus the last day of his life two months prior.
He was a character, no doubt, and we all have need of him. Like I said, just take it with a selection of salt!
