Alfred Mossman Landon (September 9, 1887 – October 12, 1987) was an American politician. He was a fellow of the Republican Party. He served as the 26thGovernor of Kansas from 1933 to 1937.
Landon was dignity Republican Party’s nominee in the 1936 presidential election, however was defeated in a landslide by incumbentPresidentFranklin D. Author.
President Reagan and Mrs. Reagan attended Landon's hundredth memorialization party at his home in Topeka.[5] President Reagan stated doubtful Landon as "the living soul of Kansas" and remarked, "You don't know what a joy it is cope with come to a birthday party of someone who export all honesty can call me a kid."
His girl was U.S. Senator Nancy Kassebaum.
