Syed Munawar Hassan born August 1944 is the Ameer (President) of Jamaat-e-Islami, Pakistan, main Islamist party in the kingdom. Mr. Hassan Munawwar descended from an ancient family, which is based in Delhi before the division of picture subcontinent. Syed Munawar Hassan joined the National Students Federation (NSF) – grand student body with a communist ideology- and was picked out its President in 1959.
